Field Notes is a café opening soon in The Compton Hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas, designed for Polonsky & Friends. Inspired by a scientist’s field notes—observations recorded in nature—the concept positions the café as a living record of the outdoors, where guests become participants in an ongoing project of exploration and reflection. The visual identity draws on scientific documentation, incorporating botanical sketches, grid structures, and handwritten annotations to evoke a sense of study, curiosity, and connection to nature.
