Byrdie's is the latest culinary adventure from Chef Jenner Tomaska and Katrina Bravo, nestled inside the vibrant Hotel Genevieve in Louisville, Kentucky. Combining the elegance of French cuisine with the soulful flavors of the American South, Byrdie’s offers more than a meal—it’s an immersive experience. The space channels the charm of the French Sixties through a lively, mid-century modern design, perfectly complementing heartfelt Southern hospitality.
For this project, I collaborated with illustrator Meghan Borah to craft a branding identity inspired by 1960s French pop culture. Drawing on bold, quirky typography, asymmetrical layouts, vivid colors, and hand-drawn elements, the visual direction captures the spirit of liberation, creativity, and charm that defined the era.
